Last we week we had the opportunity to have a fantastic team, from 4 churches in Western Michigan, here in Constanza. Kids Alive has recently benefitted from the passion/vision of Rich Anderson in rescuing used, donated playgrounds from the States and shipping them around the world completely refurbished in order for more kids to enjoy. This new addition was highly anticipated by all the children involved in our programs.
Once the playground was open, the tornado slide was the main attraction...even for the big kids.
On top of all of their work on the playground, the group took a few hours out of their last 2 days to have a big "carnival" for the kids. They had one for the kids at the Ark and one for the kids at the Care Center. Both were a huge hit! The kids were able to play on the new playground, throw water balloons, tug of war, paint nails/tattoos, dizzy bat races and enjoy an awesome skit and puppet show.
This team brought their own stage and puppets. They have done this in other places before so they knew just what they would need. The children will have great memories of that day, and will continue to enjoy the playground equipment for a long time! What a fun start to the school year!
